hs 404

Ive just cut HS 404 to fit over HS 714 and HS710 as per the plans (7/32 deep) This clears HS714 by 3/32 of an inch. The other diagram SEC D-D calls for clearance of 1/32. Which one is correct? Does it have any strenght implications?

3/32" wouldn't be a problem since this clearance isn't critical. Just be sure it does clear (and won't chaff once it's finally riveted) I think mine were even more than 3/32 but maybe not. Either way, shouldn't be a structural problem.

many thanx, just wonder why different clearances are quoted on different sectional diagrams, thought id missed something.
