Hi Friends,
I'm completing the tail section of my 7A and have reached the point of trimming where the counterbalance arm passes aft of the fiberglass stab tips. Using the 13/16, (max 7/8), dimensions on the plans for the rod end bearing on the elevators.... I'm finding when I try to put the elevators on the HS stab, I'm going to have to cut about a FULL INCH off the aft face of the fiberglass tip and the very tip of the 601PP skin. Is this typical or have I messed up someplace. Seems like a lot to me. The VS stab and rudder fit at the top only required maybe 1/4 inch at most. Just don't want to start hacking away and mess up. Your help is appreciated.
