How many clamps - 7A slider?

Ideally, how many clamps and what jaw depth are needed for fitting the canopy please?

I used 16 of the 1" and 6 of the 2" spring clamps. That was about the least I would start with. I came across a sale on them, and I have 12 large, and 20 small ones. Tried several different brands. Liked the best:

I used 20 clamps when I built mine. I'm not sure if Home Depot or lowes will ship to you but they often have them on sale for .99 cents each.
