'Hole' in the Canopy

Completed fitting the canopy to the canopy frame - I'm very happy with the fit. Had to do very minimal cutting at the sides, front and rear. BUT. we found that the hole at the top for the close/open handle was cut about 1/3 of an inch too far aft by the factory. So we enlarged it about 1/3 inch forward. Called Vans first and they verified that the hole was cut as per their specs.

So, I want to close up the hole - please advise as to which material to use (epoxy?). Thanks you all for being there.

Search for "acrylic cement". It is not a glue that bonds acrylic parts together. Rather it is a solvent that melts acrylic and "welds" parts together.
