hole in seat for crotch strap

we are having the seats for 1 of our RV7s covered by a local who's done seats for the rvs. real nice. any way he needs to know where to put the "slit" for the crotch strap.
how many inches from the rear of the foam to center of slot?

Depends on where you've put your seat back. There's any one of three possibilities, all of which are going to put your bottom seat in three different spots. Have you installed your crotch strap yet?

good point.
99% of the time seat will be all the way back. pilot is 6' 2''. so if we get the measurement from there(seat back all the way to the rear) to the slit. we will be ok.

Most forward seat: 9 1/2"
Middle: 10 3/4"
Farthest aft: 12"

On my seats, i centered the hole 2 1/2"Middle: aft of the cutout for the stick

My seat backs are in the middle position and I didn't use a cut out..The crotch strap simply comes up at the back of the stick slot.

It seems perfectly fine.. Have to make sure an unused cotch strap cannot fall into the stick and jam it. Never been a problem though.
