Help! Mystery half holes in F-920 armrest

There are 3 fairly large semicircular cutouts on the lower forward and aft edges of my F-920 armrests. They look like the holes Vans sometimes put in to tell you where to cut something, but I can't fnd a reason to cut anything here. Any ideas? They don't seem to show up in the plans.

This is a photo of the aft end of the F-920-R armrest, see the 2 holes? There is another hole on the forward end.

I don't know why they are there, but mine were like that, too. I say build on.

They're there to make you wonder. I had to wonder too. Don't think there's any reason for them.

Their leftover tooling holes. Some people round the corners of that area to help prevent snags.
