Height of RV-7A Fin

Hi. Can anyone tell me the actual height from the ground to the highest point of the fin on an RV7A.

Thanks

Drawing 1A is 14:1. My math indicates just under 8.5 feet (I measured 7.25" on the drawing.)

It will vary ...

... from aircraft to aircraft. It all depends on your balance. With a heavy nose, the tail can be quite a bit higher than one with a light nose. I have an O-360 with a fixed pitch prop in front, and my neighbor has a Renesis engine up front spinning a Cato prop. Forward of the c/g he is heavier, therefore the top of his tail rides higher. Next time I am at my hangar, i will measure and update this post.

7 feet, 10.5 inches

7'-11" as measured on my 7A. Tires are inflated to specs, IO-360 with Hartzell cs prop, 20 gals of fuel.
