Heated pitot

I have the Garmin G3X heated pitot and wonder if grounding it locally rather than back at the firewall or other fuselage location will create any issues (there is an Archer antenna in the L wingtip). Pros/cons?

I have the Dynon Heated Pitot grounded at the wing and a wing ground strap at the wing junctions. I have no issues. Also have the Archer antenna.
