Heated Pitot Boom

Has anyone installed a Dynon heated AOA/Pitot Boom in the nose.
If not, where on the fuselage can a Dynon Heated AOA/Pitot Probe be mounted ?

Mine is Dynon pitot/AOA, but not the heated one, I am mounting it on the underside of the wing, accessed thru the stall warning access hole. I found it needed a small doubler to stiffen it up a bit there.

You are very physically limited putting anything through the prop hub! For an easy way to install AOA in the RV-12 for about $12 in parts, read this thread -it works great! http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=34040 If you need the heated unit, put it on the wing with quick disconnects at the wing root for ease in wing removal, such as those mentioned in the AOA thread.

Pitot Tube Alternate locations

Has anyone installed or considered installing a Dynon heated AOA/Pitot Boom in the vertical tail.

The tail is a bad location for the pitot tube because it will be affected by prop wash and other disturbed air.
According to Dynon,
The maximum current draw of the heated pitot controller/probe is 10 amps.
A heated pitot tube could max out the RV-12 electrical system and draw current from the battery.
