Heat Reflective Lining of Bottom Cowl

I put on the heat reflective metalic lining on the lower cowl as called for in the plans, but note that the exhaust pipe at cylinder number 2 is REALLY close to the cowl....have any operating RV-12's noticed anything charing in that area? The rest of the "lining" seems OK as far as distance from hot things goes.

Also has the silicone that is used to attach the seals to the interface at the water radiator been holding for you? It seems rather tenuous to me.

So far - so good

Both seem to be working good. I've put a lot of hours on them so far.
