Hartzell 3 Blade Prop Back Plate and Cowl Fitting

I am considering getting the same Hartzell Blended Airfoil 3 blade and wanted to know who else has used this and what their thoughts are on it? Was it worth the price? Do you feel the smoothness and looks met your expectations?

Also, I am hoping to do the cowl fit work before I get the prop in hand. Did you use a back plate simulator to fit your cowl? If so, did you get the back plate with the polished spinner or did you use something else?

I have the 2 blade prop. I have heard the following negatives for the 3 blade:

Harder to remove the lower cowling.

More weight on the nose (does not apply to the MT 3 blade), and the plane is already forward of the forward cg limit. (depends on what you have in the tail).

Harder to remove yes - have a plan in mind. Not big on the weight issue as the blade is a composite blade and weighs less than the aluminum one.
