Hanging the engine...

I will get the finishing kit and the firewall fwd kit in about 2 weeks. I still have the forward top fuselage skin off, as I am still working on wiring and stuff and didnt plan to rivet that on until later. I just wonder if it is ok to hang the engine with this skin off, as the firewall is not riveted either, and of course there is the row of fasteners that hold the fwd top skin in place which are not attached...

That's the way everybody does it

If the F-695 gussets are installed, there's more than enough strength to hang the engine. Mine's been sitting that way for nearly two years.

Hanging engine

I hung my engine without the skin riveted
On. Most people do as that skin is recommended
By many to rivet last. Use the engine mount to
Locate the 3/8 holes after you drill at least one.
My engine goes on in minutes. Have had it on and off several times.
Be sure to attach the mount to the engine before mounting
To fire wall
