I have an Eclipse Hand Riveter. It regularly breaks off mandrels in mid shaft, necessitating that I grind off the excess retained mandrel or flex it back and forth often enough till it breaks at the factory head of the pulled rivet. This is my second Eclipse in two months, doing the same thing. Not an issue with my air riveter. I think the rivets are okay. Maybe it is my technique. Maybe it's the Eclipse riveter. Your thoughts would be helpful. Also, what make/model of hand riveter works well for you?
