I am about to order some harness' for various bits and bats and one of them is the GRT. I need to get my wire run lengths right so my question to 7 owners is where in your plane have you put your AHRS? if poss, pics please.

AHARS mount

Van's sells a nice AHARS mount that rivets on the belly skin and fuselage structure near the auto pilot pitch servo.

I mounted my AHRS forward of the subpanel on a constructed shelf. This enabled me to to do the following: Keep the wire harness length to a minimum, easy access through the access panels I made in the top forward skin, and easy plumbing for pitot & static hoses.

I also mounted my GRT AHRS forward of the panel, in the front left hand side, on a removeable panel. I have a RV7a slider, and can remove it from under the panel.

Same here, mounted fwd of panel, aft of firewall. I haven't flown it yet, but seems to work well so far.
