2 weeks ago, I got a ride in Denis Lussier's RV6
The O360 with the C/S prop are very impressive... I've never experienced a smoother running combo before. The takeoff performance is breathtaking!
The only other RV ride I had before was in the RV-9A demo at OSH this year. Handling is similar to the -9 but ailerons have more authority. I did not find the higher approach speed a problem, it wasn't too fast for my taste.
Did a couple of turns, power off stalls, power on stalls (a first for me). Impressive flying machine
Here's a few pics, the paint scheme is not finished and the wheel pants are 50% done but you get the idea.
The trees are changing colors right now in here![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
I also took a small video (crappy quality from my cam) of one of the landing. The ride was bumpy with a nice crosswind of 10-15kts... I could not have landed this better, Denis is a good pilot!
