GNS430W and MD200 CDI connections

The GNS430W toggles (either manually via CDI button or automagically) which nav source (GPS or VLOC) output to an external HSI/CDI.

Does this mean I should be connecting both the "Main Indicator" pins (fig. H-7 in GNS430W installation manual) and the "VOR/ILS" pins (fig. H-7 in GNS430W installation manual)??
