GNS 430 breaker size

Hi. I'm a bit confused about breaker size for Garmin GNS 430W.

NUMBER

Someone says it needs 2 breakers.
I imagined it only needs one breaker.

SIZE

Shall I add PWR consumption for every function (i.e.: NAV + COMM)?

Thanks.

Calls for a 5 Amp breaker for the Nav section, and a 10 Amp breaker (at 14 volts input) for the Com section.

The two separate supplies are part of the equipment built-in redundancy.

Gil is correct - the 430 looks to be two separate units (Comm and Nav) joined together in a common screen/control unit at the front. Two separate power supplies. I'm not sure that I'd call it "redundant", as each power feed supplies a different function - I'd call it "fault tolerant" because you still have one function if you lose another.;)

Thank-you

I've not bought it, yet. So, I don't have manual.
The one I found on the web is for a 24V and I was not sure it was the same.

I already have a COMM2.
However, I think I will still go with 2 separate bks.

Thank-you.
