GNC250XL Stomping out ICS

Hey guys, so my RV8 has a GNC250XL as its primary radio. Since I’ve owned the airplane, the radios incoming transmissions stomps out all internal comms unless the radio is turned down. Does anybody have any ideas on what could be going on? I’d like to figure it out. It gets difficult when trying to have conversations with the passenger.

Need more info. Audio panel, intercom system? Any chance there’s a ‘radio priority’ setting?

No audio panel. Just a basic intercom control of volume and squelch. As for the radio priority setting I’m not sure. I’ve been digging through gnc250 information trying to figure that out.

I think I got it figured out. Looks like the old 403 intercom has a hard wire that stomps out internal comms with priority to incoming transmissions. Shouldn’t be bad.
