Glare off the engine cowling?

Perhaps a little out of order, but I am very close to having my -4 painted. I dont have seats yet so cant sit in it and make a sensible decision wrt to my question.

QUESTION: If of average height, flying into sun is there a lot of glare off the cowling, or does it slope away so this is not an issue in practice?
If the answer is yes, I will get some matting agent put into the bit in front, but for aestetic reasons would rather not.

My S'cub is no problem, but a Pawnee I used to fly would be real bad without.

Thanks.

I have considered the same issue and would prefer to avoid it for aesthetic reasons. I've finally decided to leave it off and then, if there is a problem later, I'll find some matte finish vinyl to do the job.

Huh ??

My -4 is bright White. I have never noticed or given glare a thought. However, I did forget the suntan lotion today and am now sunburned from 3 hrs of flying :).
