Gear leg fairings

I'm using the excellent Fairings Etc intersection fairings on my RV-7 and it looks as though I'll have trim the leg fairings to fit rather than go by the template on the plans. Also, doesn't look as though I'll need to trim the trailing edge. Does this sound correct or will the fitting of the hinge be an issue? Would love to hear from someone who has gone before. Ugh, fibreglass.

I just had to do the same thing I ended up trimming a portion of the trailing edge to get the intersecting fairing to slide through.
