Gear Leg fairings hinge pins

Just read some great posts on ways to attach the upper intersection gear leg fairings and was wondering about how to secure the gear leg fairing "hinge pins" on an 8 tail dragger.
I can put them in and pull them out from the bottom, but not sure how to secure them nicely. Any pics would be great.

I drilled a hole

In the fiberglass near the edge of the fairing, and safety wired the bent end of the pin to the fairing.
