Gear leg fairing installation

Hi Guys,
I'm starting on the gear leg fairing install and have a question. Is the flat aft part of the fairing behind the hinge trimmed off? There's nothing in the text but the drawings make it look like they are trimmed. Thanks!

Yes you will end up trimming to about the trim line. But instead of taping per the instructions I put Clekos in that rear portion to keep everything aligned and then the holes aren't a problem because you just cut that portion off later.
