Gear alignment procedure & Mixture Cable Length

1 - Does anyone know which mixture cable to use from Vans for a carburated O-320? I just need a length. I think it's about 50" give or take.

2 - What is the alignment procedure for the landing gear? The manual just says... "Align them before drilling", how much tow in/out when they're in the air?

Thx!

The cable lengths will vary widely with equipment, RV model and builder installation. A tip someone gave me a long time ago was to use 1/4" refrigerator plastic tubing to approximate the routing you have and cut it to length. It works pretty well, as the stiffness is about the same as a cable. Just make sure you're clear on how the supplier measures "length".

You must have a construction manual for the newer gear that were drilled at the factory. I built an earlier 4 (serial #68) that required drilling the gear legs. PM me an email address and I'll scan that part of the early manual and email it to you.
