Gascolator

22 02 The gascolator mounts through two holes that seem to have been punched for nutplates...the center hole is used to attach the gascolator...I can't locate some instruction on "closing" the two holes that would have been for the ears of the nutplates...I doubt open holes in the firewell would just be left that way...is there some instruction regarding closing them in the material way ahead of my fuselage progress?

If nothing is called for I would consider covering them with firewall caulk as a safety measure.

Help?

I finally see what I was missing...my plans do not show a callout for installation of what looks as if it should be K1000-3 nutplates, and the drawing only shows the center hole of the nutplate as "gascolator attach holes" Will install the nutplates.
