I don't know the answer to your question, but if you want to update this software yourself, the latest GTX 335/345/35/45(R) software is available for download on the Garmin G3X Software download page.

For those still building, consider installing a transponder USB-B dongle somewhere easily accessible. I put a pass-through on the panel.

I realize transponder updates are infrequent but it's so much easier to sit in the seat and perform an update vs. crawling under the panel.

I just updated the transponder last week. Super simple and no contorting.
