Garmin Nav/Comm and GRT glass legal IFR?

With a legal Garmin nav/com and GRT glass, transponder-altimeter check, is it legal to fly IFR.

If you have the usual statement in your operating limits ("IFR approved if FAR 91.205 is complied with") then the answer is yes, I think.
The GRT glass will satisfy the required flight instruments part.
A TSO 145/146 (but Not 129) GPS will allow you to fly ifr assuming your destination (and alternate, if required) have gps approaches. (e.g., the gps can provide all needed navigation for the flight)

Whether or not it is high risk or low risk to not have additional equipment is another discussion, not what you asked.

Of course the PIC has to be instrument rated and current.

Also refer to AIM 1-1-19 which will refer to AC 20-138 that has suggested installation requirements, tests and POH revisions.

So ifr requires "suitable" navigation for the flight. Only gps nav needs to meet TSO standards.
You must have a "magnetic heading indicator". Some DARs are allowing electronic sensors (e.g., GRT efis) in lieu of a wet compass (again, this is for ifr).
