Hi Guys--Got a radio question for you techie types. I've got a Garmin GNC 300 comm radio. It works great for about the 1st hour or so, but when I go home, and call the tower, I can hear my mic click, I "think" they're hearing me--not sure, but I can't hear myself. Then it fixed itself--for about a year. Yesterday was beautiful, so I was out aviating. Came back home some 2 hours later, same problem. Had to switch to the other radio (iComm)
Garmin says they won't support anything on the front of the screen, but they will support the insides still. (Screen fine) Only $800 or so
plus shipping costs out to Kansas.
What would you guys do? What other radios are out there if I just buy a new one. (I'm not a builder, or mechanic, or Avionics guy) (Don't much like the iComm--poor quality sound)
