I am going to be installing a Garmin GFC500 into my RV8. I am in the early stages and still looking for the documentation and manuals on how to do this with my setup. I have a question regarding wiring an ESP INHIBIT switch to temporarily turn off the autopilot's electronic stability protection. I know I will be able to turn it off through the G5 menu, but I would like a physical toggle switch if it is possible.
My setup:
Garmin G5s
Garmin GPS 400W
Garmin SL30 NAV/COM
Every time I have seen the ESP INHIBIT switch, it is in a setup with a G3X Touch. The G3X Touch installation manual shows the ESP INHIBIT switch connecting to the GEA 24's P244 connector. The G5 installation manual makes no such mention.
Is there any way for a non-G3X setup to wire up an ESP INHIBIT switch?
