I have a Garmin 496 with the blue output wire connected to my Electronics International MUX-8A data recorder. I have not been able to collect any data from the GPS and have tried using a couple of the 496 interfaces being NEMA and Text out at 9600 baud rate. Does anyone know the proper settings for the Garmin 496 to be able to send data to the MUX-8A?
Also just recently I get and error message while downloading my CHT's and EGT's from my MUX-8A that says windows must close. I get about 1/2 way through the download when this happens. The computer that used to work has windows 7 and I tried using one with windows 8 and that one also gets the same error message. Not sure what to try to make this work.
