Gamin G3X question

Hi all,

I am not that familiar with all the Garmin products, specially not the older ones. With reference to the picture of the panel of a friend's RV10 the following:

On the left he has as far as I can see the older G3 units. On the back of one of them, I could see GDU 370 ATL GPS.

On the right hand side of his panel is a dead Chelton EFIS.

What he wants to do is to install a Garmin unit in the place of the Chelton. What options does he have?

Another question that I have is is - where does the Garmin EFIS he has now (left hand one) gets the pitot and altitude data from? Is there some kind or Air Data unit (ADHARS) installed somewhere that I could not see?

I appreciate your help :)

The standard G3X kit includes the EFIS display GDU 37X (non touch),
GSU 25 AHRS/Air Data Sensor Unit and GMU 22 Magnetometer.
A G3X system installation can use either GDU 37X or GDU 4XX displays, but a G3X system installation cannot use GDU 37X and GDU 4XX displays.
So your friend will have to find a GDU 370 or 375 display.
Figure E-2 G3X Interconnect Example (GDU 37X) pg 767 in the IM manual.

Good luck

Thank you very much Avanza. We will ask in Classifieds for a GU 370 or GDU 375 and hope that we will find something.
