G3X and GTN650 alerts for traffic

My G3X alerts work great and the volume is reasonable. The problem is when I have traffic. The G3X gently tells me I have traffic. Then 10-15 seconds later the GTN-650 comes in, BOOMING, and I can't hear a darned thing that might be on the radio. I'd be happy with turning the GTN traffic alert off altogether, and found a setting in it that seems to be for that, but despite my best efforts I can't turn it off.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I'd like my G3X alerts a "little" louder, and my GTN to not alert at all.

I really wish this was adjustable without being in setup mode, because it is when I'm flying that the real audio conditions exist.

Had a similar problem with the volume of my CO alert. Went into the g3x configbpage and turned down the volume that was feeding into the audio discrete. The hard part was finding what channel was recieving the audio.
