FYI - Testing Fuel Vents ...

As part of my CI, I always check my fuel vent lines to make sure they are clear.

How - A tapered rubber plug (think laboratory or plumber's helper) with a 1/4" hole in it's center and a 1/4" diameter tube thru it, outlet connected to a 1/4" i.d. vinyl tube (~ 24-36" long). Depending on how your vent outlet is oriented (horizontal/vertical), tape a piece of yarn (or equivalent) to it such that a "light" air volume through it will "disturb" it enough to be seen. Install the plug into filler neck and blow (by mouth or gently with pressurized air) to see if the yarn is moving.

Nothing fancy, just a simple way to inspect the integrity of the venting system. Always on my CI list ...
