Has anybody considered using a marine fuse block like one of these:

Here's an example of a 12 circuit block:
These have at least 3 advantages over the fuse blocks I've seen from aviation outlets:
plastic cover
integrated negative bus
ring terminals rather than push-on
The only downside might be weight, but they seem to be made of plastic. Shouldn't be too heavy.
