FUN Riveting

Just started riveting the aft fuselage on my RV-7. I had bought a large back riveting bucking bar early but had little opportunity to use it. I would've back-riveted the wing top skins but didn't have an offset back-rivet set.

Decided to try back riveting on the fuselage, and MAN, what fun! My riveting partner loves it, I love it, and the rivets look half decent too! If you don't already have one of these "barbells", then I cannot be high enough to recommend one.

Now I have to look into a Tungsten Bucking Bar that seems all the rage.

One cannot have too many cool tools...

Sold!

I'm sold on the Tungsten, I've been putting off those rivets as they look squirrely.

I'm going to order one from Stein along with a bunch of other stuff. I'm waiting to hear back from them on their new DVD's that are supposed to be available, I'm also plotting much of my wiring and plumbing and want to get a lot of that stuff now, knowing there'll be more in the future.
