fuel tank removal for installing wings

just finished fuel tanks on a 7. do they have to be removed when the wings are bolted on or can i install tanks now and forget?

The tanks should be installed on the wings before installing the wings on the airplane.

Installing wings is no big deal. I did them all by myself, both during initial fitting and just a couple days ago for good at the hanger. Just takes a saw horse or two and rolling dolly of some sort (a desk chair with the back removed works fine). Tanks should be installed before you rivet the bottom wing skins for easiest access.

If I remember correctly there is also a bracket between the tank and the fuselage that helped me line up the front of the wing somewhat as we were measuring tip to tail and aligning the rear attach point
