Fuel tank fittings

Just a quick question on the installation of the fuel tank fittings. Did anyone use any kind of paste, proseal or teflon tape around the threads of the fittings that go into the fuel tank or where they installed as is?

The tank fittings are National pipe thread ( NPT) and do require a sealant. A teflon based past works good.

I use fuel lube for npt fittings and screws such as the inspection cover screws on the -6A. The flared fittings must mate dry. The AN816 fitting for the finger strainer should have a minimal amount of paste or fuel lube, whichever you use, to prevent any foreign material from getting into the fuel system or blocking the inlet.

By the way, ask around if anyone has any fuel lube. A can is a multi-lifetime investment; I could build many RVs on the one I bought. Hmmm, there's a thought - maybe I have a new excuse. "Honey, I have to build another RV, I still have Fuel Lube left." ;)

Thanks for the quick response, time to connect those fittings and move on:D
