fuel filter ?

RV6A Lycoming 180 The only fuel filter I can find is in the carb. There is a gascolator but no screen. I bought it and it was finished in 2010 but there doesn't seem to be a screen anywhere but the carb. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Van's sells replacement screens and orings if its a Van's gascolator. You can also install a fuel filter just about anywhere.

Suggest installing auto fuel filter that can be purchased from Summit Racing. They are much more efficient filtering fuel and have replacable elements.

Have you looked under the tunnel cover in the cockpit? That's where I have my inline fuel filter installed. You would not know it was there without doing a little disassembly of the interior.
