Fuel Caddy

I'm looking at a Northern Tool (John Dow) fuel caddy/pump but apparently the graphite pump vanes leave 1-10 micron graphite "dust" in the fuel. Since this is way smaller than the filters in add-on filters or the gascolator, does anyone know if this would pose a problem for the carbs or engine? Does anyone see this from other hand-cranked vane-type pumps? I'd assume that the way the electric pump vibrates, it would strir up any settled "dust" in the tank every time it's turned on.

Thanks
