Does anyone know how to transfer a flight plan from an iMac computer to their I pad?

Use the Foreflight web planner and it will automatically sync your flights to your device.

and where do you find that?

Are you planning the flight on plan.foreflight.com on your imac in a web browser (like Safari or Chrome)? If so, after you have it planned, click the Send to Flights button. Then, on your iPad, you'll see the route under the flights tab along the bottom. From there, you can send to map.

Ahhh yes it showed up under flights! Thank you now to get it to go to Maps
