Flaperon Attachment Question

Question for those builders who have completed Section 30-4, attachment of the flaperons to the wings.

The plans call for NAS1149F0363P washers. However, I have been unable to locate these washers anywhere in my finish kit parts list. Did anyone else run into this issue?

Your packing list may show these as AN960-10 washers. Look at page 05-12 of your plans to find the AN960 Substitution Chart.

Thanks Art. I have looked at that substitution chart and as I understand it, you can use the NAS washers in place of the AN960's but it was my understanding you could not use an AN960 when an NAS was specified due to the higher precision of the NAS washers.

At this point I would send an e-mail to Van's support to clarify the issue in writing. I had a similar problem with the washer on the nose gear. They gave me the ok to use the washer I had. However, this may be a different situation.
