Flap drive disassembly

Has anyone taken the electric drive assembly apart. I have replaced my drive assembly after 650 hours. The drive gear on the motor is worn at the contact point and the driven gear in the arm is somewhat less worn. The teeth were slipping when lowering the flaps. The replacement motor and drive gear is $125 from the drive maker. I was wondering if anyone had managed to take one apart without damage. If I could replace the two gears, the unit would be operational. Dan
