Need some help where the flap brace (rv6) attaches to the rear spar. The instructions say to cut the brace to step up onto the spar root plates. Since the spar plates add an ⅛ inch to the spar, won't that change the flap distance from the spar to the end of flap?

It doesn't change the position of the hinge pin because the stepped up portion just "rotates" around the central axis.

It allows you to rivet the upper holes without bending the brace over the gold doubler at the outboard end. Also included is a picture of the inboard end FYI.
