Fitting Right Elevator

New builder. Just finishing my tail kit. Tried to fit rt. elevator to horizonal stab so I could admire my handy work. I have the new style elevators with the balance weights on the end of the ribs instead of buried in the ribs. My HS skin is cut out for the old style, so it looks like I need to trim about 2 inches or so. I have my rod end bearings set to max out of 7/8 in. It does look like that is where it will stay though. Any one else have this before or did I get a mix of old and new parts.

Look on drawing 3 in the upper left hand corner. It will show where the HS skin and tip need to be trimmed for the Elevator Counterbalance.
