First Person Video (FPV) at 13,000 MSL

At 6:02 in this video, he is flying towards a full scale. I used to fly R/C and always followed the AMA rules. As a kid I dreamed about being in the cockpit which took me until 38 to finally get there. It is all fun until someone gets hurt.

Hitting a (normal sized) model wouldn't be fun, but not much worse than a goose, buzzard or pelican I'd imagine. Unless these guys are intentionally diving at planes or flying off the end of a runway - which would rightfully get them jacked up by the flying pilot or police - I'll rely on the big sky theory.

Also, I flew RC for decades too. But you're now pilot/owner of an airplane. No need for the "full-scale" qualifier. ;)

I find this highly disturbing. Buzzard dodging is bad enough; but they are certainly entitled to some airspace.
I'm not comforted by the safety precautions taken either. So he went to a rural area outside fully developed air space.
...life continues to get more complicated.
