Firewall Recess

In a stock installation, is there anything protruding into the recess other than the oil filter? I can't tell from the drawings. I want to use eyeballs instead of snap bushings for the control cable bushings and that means repositioning them somewhat, so I want to know if there is anything other than the filter that I have to avoid. A picture would be very helpful.

Excellent pictures. That's exactly what I had in mind, using steel eyeballs. Thanks for the info.
