Finally Starting, Found an Issue

Chuckles

I'm New Here
So I have been working for about a year to get to this point: Starting work on my RV-10. After work space prep and a few practice kits I am ready to jump in on the real thing. I found a tail kit last year that was a pretty good deal, so I bought it before I was ready.

Now that I am ready, I started on the first page and went through step by step to verify the work previously done. I found this rivet on the top of the vertical skin.

It looks like there is a small hole next to the hole the rivet is in. I know this is bad, but the question is how do I fix it? I don't know how one would get to the back side of the rivet now that the rest of the piece is completed.

Thanks for the help. I am sure I will need more later.

Chris

one rivet like that isn't too bad. That was probably the result of a C frame dimpler; playing whack a mole and missed the hole. Probably do more harm than good trying to fix it. And if you can't get a bucking bar on it you would need to replace with a pop rivet or a cherrymax rivet. In order to dress out the mis drilled it looks like it would take a (comparatively) very large hole and rivet. Actually, I don't like the rivet to the left of it much, there is an air gap under it, wasn't set properly. If there are a bunch of those going on might want to chalk it up to another practice kit.
