Filter air box tight to alternator bracket

Good evening to all:

I am installing the filter air box (FAB) on a horizontal induction IO-360-M1B and find that the FAB VA132-1 is hitting the alternator mount. The FAB seems to fit well otherwise.

Did anyone have this problem. Seems like the solution is to notch and reshape the FAB in the area of the conflict? I do not want to offset the FAB on the FI air intake.

Ours hit the starter and alternator. I just ground away as required then threw some gbid at it.
