Canopy fairing is laid up and trimmed-- I sure don't like that gap (air scoop??) just in front of the pivot bolt but it matches Marty and Tony's photos. Question: after trimming. the forward edge of the fairing is anywhere from 1/8 to 3/32 inch thick. Seems like this should be sanded down to decrease drag and tendency of the fairing to lift, but that would reduce the strength of the front of the piece. Can't tell from photos-- did you all just leave it blunt or sand it to more of a chisel edge?

My description

Round the forward edges SOME, but don't take it to knife edge. It's not a work of art. It functions well.
