fiberglass over the wing tips

I am thinking of using leading edge taxi and landing lights and then wing tip strobe, position and anti collision lights. If I do this then I will have nothing in the wingtips so it seems silly to have the plexiglass covers on there for nothing. I was just wondering if anyone has ever created fiberglass shells to go where the plexi goes now.

Fill with urethane foam

If you go that route, fill the recess with blocks of urethane foam, carve to shape then glass over with 2 plys of BID cloth.

It wouldn't be hard. Mold release the plexi, apply a layer or two of glass. Trim the glass to fit in place of the plexi, glue in and fair in with another layer or two of glass as needed. Don't forget to trim out the back of the light recess. This will be probably be lighter than filling the recess with foam.
