Fiberglass Canopy Front Fairing

Google will show you one that used to be available from a Rotax competitor, but it no longer seems to be there.

See http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=78621

The fairing layup is not difficult, even for a first timer. Search and read all of the posts in this forum on it. I bet there is someone in your local EAA chapter that has experience and will help.

This will make you EAB rather than ELSA. If this is the only thing of significance that you are changing, it is not a good idea to sacrifice ELSA status just to avoid this layup. Shoot, you could probably pay a Fiberglas expert to do it for you for less than the cost of this aftermarket part.

I have seen the finish product using this part and it is not very good. Do the lay up, it will be less work.

Shoot, give me some room and board and fuel money and I'll fly down for a couple of days and do it for you.:D
